Gary Roskell

Gary has worked in various areas of the voluntary and community sector for 25 years, with experience including education, health, the arts, conservation, and community action. With previous roles as Chief Executive of a local educational arts charity and Development Manager for the local Wildlife Trust, he has worked with local groups to make the most of their locality, supported and developed partnerships, planned complicated and multi-layered projects. He also has a strong track record in fundraising from a variety of sources, but particularly with trusts and foundations.

Susan Roberts

Susan’s work at BARN has included helping develop the plan with the Church Hill neighbourhood of Redditch that was successful in attracting £1 million from the Big Local Trust for community development. Prior to this her experience includes significant statutory sector experience such as helping a local Kidderminster group develop a Neighbourhood Management Pathfinder, working with the Partnership Manager in developing a 10 year plan. She has also assessed and managed a variety of statutory grant programmes, worked closely with local authority officers, supported local partnerships and managed local outreach programmes.
